depressing fact of the day

You can die from laughing. I laugh A LOT. I should probably start being more careful. However, it’s been said that laughter can actually help a person to live longer. I’ve been doing some thinking about how it seems everything good in life only good in moderation. Examples:
1. Alcohol every day can improve the functioning of your heart. Alcoholism can kill you.
2. Carrots are good for your eyesight. Consuming too many can actually turn your skin orange. So can fake baking, but that’s beside the point…
3. …Or maybe it isn’t. Sun rays help the body to produce the ever important Vitamin D. Too much sun will give you cancer or turn you into a leather suit.
4. Chocolate has been said to do numerous things: prevent cancer, help your heart, keep dementia away, and increase the circumference of your thighs!

Basically, indulgence is ok, but gluttony is a sin.

Where is the line?

Everything in life is one constant grey* area. There can always be too much of a good thing.

I guess its up to us to figure out where the line is or decide if we even care.

P.S. You should check out Learn Something New Every Day. It’s where I encountered the masterpiece at the top. Not too much reading, but lots of fun facts to shock and wow your friends, family, and Sunday School teacher. You know you’re interested.

*No, I am not a Brit, I simply spell it in this manner to differentiate between the colour and my surname. Pip pip cheerio!
